Juan joined Rayliant Global Advisors in August 2018, and is focused on Corporate Development activities around strategy, M&A, operations, and corporate governance.
Prior to that, Juan spent 15-plus years helping companies address strategic, financial, marketing, operational, and organizational issues. Juan was the Chief Global Strategist at Samsung, leading the in-house strategy advisory practice and its roughly 100 staffers. His role was to support Samsung companies’ globalization efforts and uncover growth engines. Before that, Juan was a principal at The Boston Consulting Group in Southeast Asia and China and a core member of the corporate development practice area focusing on portfolio strategy, investment strategy, and M&A execution topics. Earlier, he was a financial analyst at Salomon Smith Barney, working on the execution of mergers and acquisitions of up to $15 billion in deal value.
Juan earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance at the ICADE Business School at Universidad Pontificia Comillas, an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College, and an MS from Stanford University (where he graduated as a Robert L. Joss Scholar). He is also a CFA charterholder.
