Juan joined Rayliant Global Advisors in August 2018, and is focused on Corporate Development activities around strategy, M&A, operations, and corporate governance.
Prior to that, Juan spent 15-plus years helping companies address strategic, financial, marketing, operational, and organizational issues. Juan was the Chief Global Strategist at Samsung, leading the in-house strategy advisory practice and its roughly 100 staffers. His role was to support Samsung companies’ globalization efforts and uncover growth engines. Before that, Juan was a principal at The Boston Consulting Group in Southeast Asia and China and a core member of the corporate development practice area focusing on portfolio strategy, investment strategy, and M&A execution topics. Earlier, he was a financial analyst at Salomon Smith Barney, working on the execution of mergers and acquisitions of up to $15 billion in deal value.
Juan earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance at the ICADE Business School at Universidad Pontificia Comillas, an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College, and a MS from Stanford University (where he graduated as a Robert L. Joss Scholar). He is also a CFA charterholder.
