Samidh joined the Rayliant’s Irvine team as a senior researcher in November of 2018. He is currently using artificial intelligence / machine learning methods to incorporate non-market unstructured data in predicting cross-section of asset returns.
Samidh has recently worked as a consultant to the founding team of PredictEV, a socio-economic network startup, and helping them to think rigorously about incentive design, token economy, and fundraising strategy. As a research assistant in the finance department of IIM Bangalore, Samidh’s research involved developing an explanation for why low idiosyncratic volatility predicts higher returns. Samidh has also worked as an analog circuit designer for Texas Instruments where he designed oscillators and amplifiers for the low-power microcontroller team.
Samidh earned an M.S. in Management (Finance) from UCLA Anderson School of Management, an MBA from Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, and a Bachelor in Technology from National Institute of Technology Karnataka.
