Erix Xie

Erix joined Rayliant as a Research Intern in the Summer of 2022. Prior to Rayliant, Erix interned with Huawei as a Product Data Engineer intern in their Consumer Cloud Services department where he gained a foundation in data warehousing and big data techniques.

Erix earned his B.Sc. in Mathematics from University of British Columbia. In December 2022, Erix achieved an M.S.E. in Data Science from John Hopkins University. During his studies, Erix worked as a Researcher and Developer on a Summer NLP Capstone Project gaining valuable experience with machine learning and state-of-the-art deep learning models.

In his free time, Erix enjoys games of many types – with a particular interest in solving difficult puzzle games and has participated in competitions throughout China achieving high rankings. In 2018, Erix ranked 2nd in China’s annual rankings.
