Mark Schlarbaum

Mark oversees trading and capital markets at Rayliant. In this role, he manages a diverse interdepartmental team of skilled professionals, builds operational capabilities in new markets and products, monitors the firm’s trading health, and establishes strategic relationships within the capital markets ecosystem. Mark also partners closely with our Research Department to ensure effective portfolio implementation, including through proprietary electronic trading algorithms designed to ensure optimal execution.

Mark joins Rayliant from KraneShares, where he was Managing Partner and Head of Capital Markets. At KraneShares, Mark launched nearly 20 ETFs and grew the firm to more than $5B in AUM. His work at KraneShares is widely lauded and was ground-breaking with respect to U.S. ETFs trading Chinese equities. Before KraneShares, Mark worked for TRowe Price and was responsible for trading over $40 billion AUM of domestic and international equities, options and futures.

Mark attended Purdue University where he graduated with a BA in both economics and psychology. He remains a Purdue basketball fan and is an ardent supporter of the program.
