Joshua Katz, CFA

Josh Katz is the Head of Investment Operations & Compliance at Rayliant Global Advisors, joining the firm as Affinity Investment Advisors combined with Rayliant in December 2024. With over 20 years of industry experience, Josh brings a unique combination of financial, business management, and operational expertise to the Rayliant team.

In his role, Josh oversees and manages Rayliant’s investment operations and compliance functions, ensuring a strong compliance culture and adherence to the firm’s code of ethics. His responsibilities include monthly and quarterly client reporting, Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS) performance compliance and annual verification, proxy voting for client accounts, and managing due diligence questionnaires. Additionally, he supports Rayliant’s sales and marketing efforts by updating and maintaining marketing communications.

Before joining Rayliant, Josh held similar roles at Affinity Investment Advisors. Earlier in his career, he was a Senior Consultant with Linda S. Congleton & Associates, conducting institutional shopping mall valuations and strategic market research in the Commercial Real Estate Industry. He also spent three years at PIMCO as an Account Manager and Vice President, where he provided client relationship management for the firm’s large institutional separate account business and served as the Long Duration Product Manager. Josh’s prior experience includes working in the Trade Operations department at Pacific Life Insurance and an internship with PAAMCO during his graduate studies.

Josh earned an M.B.A. from UC Irvine’s Paul Merage School of Business and a B.A. in Economics from UC San Diego. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and has passed the Series 3, 7, and 66 NASD Exams.

In his free time, Josh enjoys surfing, playing pickleball, spin classes, traveling—particularly to surf destinations—listening to podcasts, and attending the occasional yoga class.
